I always encourage people to skate within their comfort zone but I try to find one thing within their skill level that they can learn during that meetup. Getting to see the stoke on someone’s face when they roll down a bank for the first time or get a nose stall on a curb is THE BEST!

The famous “Don’t Do It” campaign challenged corporate overlords dipping a toe into the skateboard footwear market, and although they may be doing a full-on backstroke these days, CONSOLIDATED made a strong stand and influenced many a skater to stay pure, poor and to keep it hella legit!

Arays Domech had her crew name all picked out and knew there was a need for an organization in South Florida to give girls and LGBTQIA+ folks a safe place to skate. Still, it wasn’t until a broken wrist kept her off her board that she had the free time to put the pieces together and Skate Nymphs was born.

FIRST-EVER DC FEMME-FOCUSED CONTEST GOES OFF!
Friends, family and rippers all gathered at Stoner Park Plaza in Los Angeles on Sunday March 6 in support of DC Shoes’ first annual women’s skate contest. A couple days before International Women’s Day, about 15 femme skateboarders shredded three different segments in the jam with big smiles and contagious laughter.
