Australian Chloe Covell had her eye on the prize like a wild dingo on the hunt for a baby and ultimately took home bronze and bragging rights as the youngest medalist at the event.
Japanese riders dropped jaws in the 2020 (21) Olympics with Sakura Yosozumi taking the gold so we’re keeping an eye on her and teammate Mami Tezuka, who has been showing off her inner hesh all over the US since then at backyard pools and gnarly DIYs spots. The creativity and skill of Bryce Wettstein, who recently went pro for Stereo, is always a joy to see, as are the classic stylings of Minna Stess, who recently turned 16.
I always encourage people to skate within their comfort zone but I try to find one thing within their skill level that they can learn during that meetup. Getting to see the stoke on someone’s face when they roll down a bank for the first time or get a nose stall on a curb is THE BEST!
Right after announcing their banger staffing move (hiring former street team member Alexis Sablone as coach while OG Mimi Knoop remains on as “High Performance Director”) has announced their 2022 team and the lineup is firing!

I love being able to represent for the adaptive women of the world. Our division is still growing and the more I can share my love for skateboarding daily but also in a competitive way-the more people will see it happening and get out here to enjoy the fun!

The famous “Don’t Do It” campaign challenged corporate overlords dipping a toe into the skateboard footwear market, and although they may be doing a full-on backstroke these days, CONSOLIDATED made a strong stand and influenced many a skater to stay pure, poor and to keep it hella legit!
