SPRING FLING – FDR’s First-Ever Women’s Contest!

It got wild, it got weird- it was fucking wonderful. This wasn’t just a contest, it was a renegade mission by local FDR women to take over the park for a day of music, art and skateboarding. The “Gnar Bar” was constructed on site, and the whole back flow bowl was painted with wild-ass ponies and flaming rainbows. Nine bands performed and there were over 30 artists and vendors. Women and queer/non-binary skaters from all over the country came out and shredded.

Lessons Learned at WOFX

Wheels of Fortune is a fucking juggernaut. I started going to this event 10 years ago, when it was a small gathering. Just the homies basically; a great excuse to get together, shred, see old friends and test your fate in Seattle’s fucked up traffic.
