X GAMES CHIMA STREET & PARK RESULTS AND PHOTOS

The competition was heavy at the X Games in Chiba, Japan this year. Non-trad skateboarding’s top medalists Sakura Yosozumi and Rayssa Leal showed up and slayed, taking gold in park and street respectively, but there were also surprises in the mix. Specifically, 12-year old Australian Chloe Covell, who had her eye on the prize like a wild dingo on the hunt for a baby, and ultimately took home bronze and bragging rights as the youngest medalist at the event.

The park comp was swept clean by the Japanese skaters, truly a force to be reckoned with, but USA skaters Bryce Wettstein, Minna Stess and Ruby Lilley all brought the heat. On the street side, hilarious Floridian jokester Poe Pinson scored 5th, edging out Brazilian ripper Pamela Rosa, who we can all thank for single-handedly bringing back the baggy pants trend. Congrats to all! -Migzy
