The cool people from Board of Missoula’s “Girls on Shred” organization are hosting a female/non-binary skate clinic at the super rad Coal Pad DIY in Glacier Washington on June 12th from 11am-4pm. Don’t miss this!!
Also, there are certain skaters – Dorfus, Red, Jodi McDonald – that get you saying “I can’t believe it’s not butter” when you see them lock into ripping loud, satisfying, meaty grinds, and Leon is among them. They skate with a unique and powerful energy while radiating good vibes; a session with them makes you skate better. Take Leon’s lead and leave your mark in that pool coping.
Something special has been brewing in Madison Wisconsin for the past five years, and we’re not talking about beer (that’s Milwaukee). You may have caught glimpses on instagram via Marbie and Leon and other IG feeds, but Preston Moses Clopton recently gifted the world with a beautiful video collage of this unique Midwestern skate community and the “Forward Living” DIY skatepark.
Some people might interpret the grimy riffs of heavy metal as a summons to the fiery pits of hell, but for April Jones this genre, plus art and skateboarding, are bridges to her life of DIY altruism.
