Secret to being a good host: In my opinion, the secret to being a good host is being present, genuine, welcoming and aware of the diversity in whatever event is being held. Meaning diversity in skill level, age, and gender making everyone feel like they are apart of a community equally. Oh…and a good host has to bring that HYPE! ?

COWTOWN’S 22nd Annual PHXAM was March 23-24, 2024 Fat Desert West Skateboard Plaza in Phoenix AZ. Some of the best female skaters on the globe showed up to shred, including Shiloh Catori, Zoe Zhang and Christiana Means.
The original four headed for the semi-finals were Christiana Means, Sammaria Brevard, Lacey Baker and Candy Jacobs. Sadly Portland’s hometown hero, Christiana, had to forfeit her spot because of an Olympic team commitment in the Philippines. So previous challengers Monica Torres and Chelsea Castro staged a “redemption round,” with Torres ultimately earning her spot in the final four.
