In 2016 our friend, Australian skateboarding legend Monica Shaw, met Anshu Mahat while in India on a skate trip with 12 other non-trad skaters from around the world. Recently, she asked us to help spread the word that Anshu is in immediate need of medical assistance to remove a rod from her leg that was placed due to a skateboarding injury.

We are living in crazy times, which means solidarity in our global skateboarding community is more important than ever. And even when things seem hard, many people in the world, particularly without access to medical care, have it harder.
