After another rainy battle on the street and in the park, X GAMES Japan, an important stop on the way to the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris France, is in the books.
Skateboarding’s inaugural appearance on the world stage experienced some setbacks- first delayed until 2021 due to the pandemic. Next, citing a series of failures, the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee decertified USA Skateboarding, the governing organization meant to support and protect the United States competitors.
Will things go smoother for Olympic Skateboarding in 2024? Time will tell. But one thing is for sure – there are some excellent skaters from all over the globe vying for a spot on the podium.
