CHECK OUT EXPOSURE’S ‘SKATE RISING’

Exposure Skate is the world’s largest skateboarding event dedicated to women, girls, and non-binary individuals, combining world-class competition with a mission of empowerment and community service. Their youth program, Skate Rising, provides free skateboarding lessons for girls ages 4 to 16 while incorporating mindfulness and service-learning projects that foster confidence, resilience, and leadership. Participants engage in activities like anti-bullying initiatives, creating empowerment journals, and assembling care packages for those in need.

The next Skate Rising event is set for Saturday, March 8, 2025, in celebration of International Women’s Day. It will take place at the CA Training Facility (1410 Vantage Ct, Vista, CA 92081) and will offer free skateboarding instruction from Olympic and pro-level skateboarders, along with safety gear and equipment. To participate, attendees are encouraged to register in advance through the Exposure Skate website (exposureskate.org).

For those who want to support Exposure Skate’s mission, opportunities include volunteering, donating, or purchasing merchandise—all of which help sustain programs like Skate Rising and continue promoting inclusivity in skateboarding.
