This year’s women’s vert comp at X Games Ventura was highly anticipated, especially after last year, when Arisa Trew pulled a 720 in the final moments of the contest. Her skills won her gold in both park and vert and inspired the X Games to add a women’s best trick contest.
This addition brought even more surprises this year, as 9-year-old Mia Kretzer pulled the same trick—a 720—in this year’s vert best trick, becoming the youngest person to win an X Games gold in herstory. There was a gang of other amazing female skaters competing at this elite event, including:
1st: Arisa Trew. $20,000. Age 14, @Arisa_Trew.
2nd: Mizuho Hasegawa. $15,000. Age 13, @hasegawa_mizuho.
